Stockton continues its tradition of delivering the finest street entertainment around and Stockton Sparkles delivers a host of Christmas entertainment for all the family.
Saturday 28 November (11.30am - 4.00pm)
Join our fantastic street theatre characters as they welcome the Christmas Spirit to Stockton!
Pantomime Dames (Creature Feature)
There is nothing like a dame. Rubella, Salmonella and Buttons, bring the magic of panto to the streets of Stoctkton!
Christmas Elves (Fair Play)
Will Santa visit you this Christmas? Two Christmas Elves and their 'Goodometer' will be checking to find out who’s been naughty and who’s been nice over the past year.
The Knick Knack Man (Pete Moser)
The one-man band has a special place in everyone’s imagination. The Knick Knack Man is from the world of Mary Poppins, the Chim Chimenee band of Dick van Dyke with cockney songs and laughter, jokes and twists, songs and tunes to fill your Christmas with cheer.

The Gliding Santa (Bob & Bob Jobbins)
Santa has arrived in Stockton on his amazing gliding throne! Everyone is wished a thoroughly wonderful Christmas as Santa gives hearty cheer, seasons greetings and treats to those he passes.
Arctic Explorers (The Strangelings)
These frost covered Arctic Explorers are still trying to claim unknown territory for the Empire. It could be a shopping center or a litter bin. Be assured there will be challenges on the way, with benches to scale, flags to plant and patriotic tunes to hum.
The Sanity Clause (Original Mixture)
Santa reads his trade journal from behind which appear traditional festive images guaranteed to spread the joy of Christmas - a party of illuminated Christmas trees, fairies, pantomime dames and flying reindeer.

A Christmas Carriage (MarkMark Productions)
Mr Scrooge and Mr Scratchit bring their ‘carol singing’ carriage to Stockton to ruin everyone's fun. Father Christmas is blown up the chimney and everyone is wished a thoroughly miserable Christmas.

Balloonatic Elf
A mischievous elf brings some Christmas cheer as he decorates people with amazing hats, giant costumes and toys – all done with fantastic balloon art!
Small Talk (The2Men)
Two highly talented Christmas pixies take to their podiums to entertain audiences with amazing routines and strange banter.
Sally and Hodman (The Flying Buttresses)
Meet the extraordinary puppets, Hodman and his beautiful wife Sally, wanderers from the proud country of Oblivia. The couple will bring Christmas joy and laughter wherever they go with their hilarious Christmas shopping and carol singing attempts.
The Snow Queen (Mischief La Bas)
The Snow Queen is cold, magical and glamorous, and she shall have snow wherever she goes. Accompanied by acolytes, she is quite happy to chat about her penguins back home and discuss the latest styles in fridge freezers.
Arts & crafts and facepainting (12.00pm - 4.00pm)
There will also be Christmas-themed arts and crafts and facepainting throughout the day. Venue tbc.

The Christmas Photographers (The Strangelings)
Meet Henry Burns and George Entwhistle, gentleman photographers. They will pose you, dress you, and provide you with suitable props backdrops and facial hair to ensure your Christmas photograph is a perfect work of art, ready to take pride of place in anyone's parlour.
Bjorn & Ursula (Los Kaos)
Bjorn is back! Visiting Stockton for the second year, don’t miss this opportunity to see this beautifully animated life-size polar bear puppet and his helpful herder Ursula.
Kaleidoscope (Flux)
A spectacular performance to launch this year’s Christmas Market Fair. Kaleidoscope is an inventive high-tech juggling performance incorporating world-class technique, intricate choreography and unique custom-built technology. Complex juggling allows the illuminated props to create beautiful patterns in the air.
Festive Elves (Creature Encounter)
Two colourfully dressed elves carry a spectacular swaying eight foot tall tower of presents. Armed with a quill, clipboard, pocket watch and whistle, head Elf Norris attempts to keep their delivery on schedule, as Junior Elf Norris struggles and clowns with the teetering tower of presents. Both elves are ever watchful for people with names on the list of those who have been good!

Snow Angels (Fairly Famous Family)
In the magical tree lined snowy glade families can make snow angels and crazy silhouettes, then have an instant picture to take away and treasure - the perfect break from Christmas Shopping!
The Snow Queen (Circo Rum Ba Ba)
The Snow Queen and her Ice Chariot, complete with Snow Elves performing amazing acro-balance on her moving stage, and Fanny and Florrie, the fat Cockney fairies who sprinkle lucky fairy dust on passers-by.
The Penguins (Creature Encounter)
Larger than life penguins and their friends from the icy arctic visit Stockton!
Tap Dancing Turkeys (Maynard Flip Flap)
How could you possibly eat your Christmas dinner when you’ve met Bernice and Matthew, these friendly tap dancing turkeys.
The Gran Tourismos (Larkin’ About)
Britain’s only formation trolley team! These ladies have seen and done it all and are now having a rare old time Christmas shopping on their souped-up shopping trolleys.
